I have a 48 chevy truck and wish to put a small block chevy in it. How do you set up the drive train on a straight axle small block conversion. classic performance says that the tail shaft of the transmission should be set at 4 degrees downward and the pinion angle at 2-3 degrees upward. Also how do I center the motor and find the corresct placement I guess all I can do is measure,measure measure. should I just use the bolt in mustang 2 crossmember with the engines mounts installed and use their transmission crossmember. i am doing a budget build. I will be using a 305 chevy for the motor and the truck will be in black primer. any suggestions?
