The carbs on my truck now are Carter YF's they are a direct drop in for a Rochester meaning no fuel line mods are needed.

As for lifting the engine, I have an engine hoist with a leveler. These motors are so stout that they can be lifted by any solid bolt connection. I have even seen them lifted by the rocker arm, but I wouldn't do that to a fresh rebuild.
