The 54 water pump i am looking for is a 235 or a 261 pump. or are they the same? I have a 53 powerglide 235 in my garage. was going to use it if i could ever get it unstuck, moisture and years. would that be an acceptable donor pump? i am registering for an engine tech class at the local tech school and if the 235 is no good for donor parts i amy see if the class wants to take a crack at it. so they can see what original automotive power looks like. 99.9% of the people in the class will probably think babbit is a small fuzzy thing w/ a specch problem
