Very true on the stovebolt description. Once you go to V/8 power it is no longer or probably never was a stovebolt. The term stovebolt was used for the old Chevy sixes,many years ago.Probably the 1929 version.Which at the time surpassed Ford in horsepower as Ford was still using the straight 4 cyl engines of that era.Of course in 1932 Old Henry put it to Chevy with the new flathead V/8.
