I know you cam buy tie-rod ends to replace the ball and sockets that it has know, they are bolt in replacement. They are pretty common on e-bay. Could you make the cross-link (bar between tie-rods) with a second hole for the cross steering arm then you could use the stock arms coming off the spindles? The modern replacement tie-rods use a straight 1/2" hole, no taper.
