Great pictures and advice. My 49 GMC doors only have access holes so installation of everything is through the holes. Looks like your doors would be a lot easier to work on. I called Classic Parts for info on the window tape they supply. Apparently you soak the cut to length tape in 30w oil for about five minutes before installing. The oil helps with sliding the glass into the channels and eventually swells the tape for a tight fit. Some people apparently use weatherstrip adhesive, but that makes for a challenge if you ever have to replace since you have to clean out all of the old adhesive. After installing and letting the oil sell the tape, you trim the excess with a sharp utility knife. The above directions using oil were the same technique used in the old shop manual. I do know that oil can be hard on some seals, so was surprised to hear that the oil technique was used on this product.Thanks
