the leading edge of your glass is captured in the channel attached to the vent window frame.
there is a guide channel bolted to the trailing edge of the inside of the door with small screws you can see below your door latch on the outside (there are 4 of them on my 52), you need to remove that channel and the new felt strip gets riveted through its center to that strip all the way down to the end,I also used 3M black weatherstrip cement behind the new felt & let it dry overnight,install the guide in the door then form the new felt around the window frame again using the 3M glue roll up the window and let it cure overnight, next day roll down the window and drill and rivet through the center of the felt to secure it and you have it.
