Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 248 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Aug 2000 Posts: 248 | On my 261 the filter was mounted with U bolts to the intake manifold between carb and firewall... it is a huge cast aluminum job about 8 or 9 inches long....connected with factory lines similar to power streeing lines to the side of the block below the carb...
....and speaking of messy.... on my 1940 it is Senior size Fram....mounted sideways....cap facing rear.... between the frame rails on the left/passenger side...remember the truck is right hand drive.....very easy to wipe the inside of the canister after you shower yourself removing the lid.....
