I just painted the wood with it's firsat coat of POR-15. Did you guys sand or scuff between the 3 coats or POR-15? The writeup does not say. Also why 3 coats? Would one work or just maybe two. POR-15 gets a bit expensive after a few quarts. It will be garage kept and out of the sun light 99% of the time. Also, I chose to select ValSpar Exterior Gloss Black. I seem to have betters results with this brand.

I have a friend who use automotive clearcoat paint on his bed wood and it still looks great 3 years later
