The throttle body on the 216 carb won't fit the 235 intake. If you can find an old 235 carb, you can swap out the throttle bodies. My old 216 carb was in great shape, so I used the carb body off the 235 builder I bought. (the actual carb was trashed) I also used the main jet out of the trashed carb. The throttle body is the part under the bowl that bolts to the intake. The 216 & 235 bolt patterns are slightly different. Hope this helps ya.
