I have a metal gas caddy and am glad I do ...it was full and one morning I was pulling in the shop and ran over a 3/4" bolt I didnt pay attention to laying on the floor and it shot out like rocket and dented the gas caddy but didnt puncture it.
I like the heavy gauge steel of my gas caddy not sure I would own a plastic one ...being it will live at floor level it will be in harms way from flying objects an such.
