I don't know what you mean by a gas caddy. I had a bad experience with a plastic gas can. I was draining the gas out of my Harley in preparation to remove the tanks. I was using a blitz gas can & had about three gallons of gas in it. As I put the cap on & started to tighten the cap the whole bottom of the can broke off & dumped three gallons of gas on my feet. It was a cool morning & normally I'd have had the stove running. Because I was going to be handling gas I purposely didn't light it. Good thing I didn't or I'd have been one of those "freak accidents" you hear about. I'll never buy another plastic gas can.
