For a $1000.00 you could buy three trucks equipped with 4 speeds and have parts left over to sell.4 speeds are plentiful and I think they are the same coming from Ford and Dodge trucks too (I may be wrong). I personally would do a poormans overhaul myself. Just replace the bearings and baulk rings unless there's heavy damage like teeth missing.
