If you want to put a detroit in a pickup you might want to call Adelmans truck parts in Canton OH. They had a bunch of govt surplus 353 motors w/chevy 4 spd trans. The 353 is will fit in a pickup without too much work. There not real powerful but will get 20+ mpg in a fullsize pu and will last darn near forever if you take care of em and don't lug it down....Mike
