is the race completely seated in the wheel. when i did my 38 the other week i thuoght i was firmly seated against the edge of the bearing ( I was punching it out for inspection) but instead knocked the race slightly back so when I went to slide it back on it wouldn't seat properly plus i screwed up the seal and had to get another one.
