You will also need a new front mount plate if it has the "u" mount. The one from a 216-235-261 will fit but you have to pull the cam to install it. Earlier blocks have the standard front mount.
The nice thing about the 302 swap is that its a torque monster, it weighs about the same as the 235, has a 2bbl manifold already, and has a high mounted, short water pump.
They can be pretty expensive to rebuild if you are going for performance, though.
