Ive been using Duplicolor high temp engine paint on some small parts, such as linkages, radiator shell etc. the black paint comes in various degrees of gloss, and goes on nice and smooth, I can get good mileage from one can, costs about $6 a can. Will probably do my backing plate, perhaps the front end parts(tie rods, axle) with the Duplicolor when the time comes.
