Waldo 53, yes someone else was turning over the engine and I held the wire close to the engine. I took off the wire that I'm speaking of and it looks fine- no corrosion, so I'm thinking that the coil is the culprit. Also, the points are clean- I think they were replaced. The distributor's insides look clean and good but the condenser could be bad but if there's no electricity going from the coil to the distributor there's no way to tell if there's anything wrong with the distributor.
