BBCs are great motors. The only penalty is weight. A fully dressed-out 454 weighs around 800 lbs. Make sure your suspension setup can handle it without landing in the weeds.
Another thing I'd like to address is cam selection. Even tho the motor has been rebuilt, I suggest using a cam to compliment the compression ratio, manifolding, gears and intended useage.
