Thanks radial and czech... I'm not shocked that I have to sand most of it and start all over again...
The worst part is that I
know I am a crappy painter, yet for some reason thought I was gonna be able to pull this off in a confined space with a low ceiling in a poorly lit basement and still make it look good... <smacks forehead> In short, it's one of those "what was I thinking?" moments!
Oh well, live and learn... next time I'll do it out in the garage where the light and ventilation are better and get it right...
