I personally think I'm just gonna load up the pad sander, take it back down to the metal and start over...
It will probably be quicker in the long run and less screwing around with little details trying to make it look good...
Better to do it right than mickey mouse it now! Next time I'll paint it in a well lit area... lesson learned!
