I don't know if you are having the same problem that I did removing the fuel pump but I didn't have enough room to turn a wrench on the front bolt and I could not get a socket on it. What I did was cut a wrench in half so that is was very short. Also, the pivot shaft in my old fuel pump worked it's way partially out towards the front and further blocked access to the front bolt. I couldn't see it properly and I had a hard time understanding what I was feeling with my fingers until I got it off.
