Well Fred, I'm bout talked out on this on, but I just don't find that problem with mine. And the numbers that I come up with just don't bear that out either, voltage drop in a 39" long #1 cable is minimal and if all is right ya shouldn't see more than a couple hundred mv. Once all the electrical was cleaned up, replaced or rebuilt, she cranks over plenty fast even in this cold weather. I'm parking it in the garage so it's not sitting out in the cold but the garage is down to just above freezing.
