Gabe, I think you have the b/house mounts setting together on top of frame and not correctly installed. The top of frame has the big part that bolts to side of housing setting right on the x-over inline with holes. The second peice goes underneath and fits into the x-over and bolt goes thru it, has big washer then nut. This way you have rubber on top and bottom. Maybe, I'm thinking of my old Firds, hmmmmm! Some later year 235's needed a slanted x-over and had slanted ears on the b/house to match. The earlier ones had flatter x-over and b/house was straitht up and down. Clear as Mudd? You need to get a shop manual if you don't have one. Should be pix in it of the mounts. Get a Chevy manual if Chev engines in Canadian trucks.
What ever you find, I'm thinking you dont have the mounts on right, or they are bolted up now and need to be seprated and bolted thru the x-over. They ARE bolted down, don't just set there.
