Cripes Jerry, that's what the whole point of this thread was about. Did I do that bad of a job trying explaining my findings? I was just trying to dispel the myth being spread around that using these big cables improve the performance of the starter and tried to make the findings as simple as possible. All one needs to understand what I posted
is E=IxR.
My finings were that there is No, None, Nota reason to use 4/0 or 2/0 cable? In fact a #1 is more than adequate for a stock Advance Design Truck or most other 6v trucks or autos even if the battery is mounted in the trunk.
