Richard emailed me a pic from an old shop manual that shows a thrust washer 'captured' in the top of the oil pump casting. (thanks richard). Nobody seems to know why this washer was omitted from the replacement pump design. I can only guess that mech engineers figured that the washer was not needed in the replacement pump design.

Anyway, the cam comes out soon. Pics to follow. I hope you guys look at them closer than the warren commission looked at the Zapruder film. I have a feeling that my cam is firing from the grassy knoll.

I'll let you guys chicken and egg if cam ruined distributor or vice versa.
