What the hell is JH talking about???
Anyway, I installed a stock distributor and let it run for a couple of minutes. Pull distributor and examined. The dist teeth showed accelerated wear, and the oil pump showed additional contact, but not as bad as with HEI. This dist didn't wobble, but it did fit pretty tight in the block. Dist shaft was 'shined up' after just 2 or 3 minutes runtime. 35 PSI oil pressure cold at 800 RPM.
Should I call Patrick, or pull the cam first and call him to say the cam is on its way?
