Better do some accurate measurements before considereing a 5 speed for a '63. These models have an X frame which the driveshaft must pass thru and the frame narrows down at the trans tailshaft. Also, I presume he's using the old bellhousing because it has motor mounts on the sides. There is no provision for a trans mount on the X frame. Most of the scatter shield bell housing I've seen don't have motor mounts, although I guess you could fabricate some.
