I have a '49 GMC I am putting a 305 in. I am curious as to what motor mount setup to go with. Jim Carter sells a right and left set of brackets that weld to the frame. They are a good couple of dollars but seem to allow access to the oil pan. Everyone else however sells the crossbeam with motor mounts attached that sits between the rail and under the motor. Can anyone recommend one over the other?
