I assume you mean it had no oil pressure(?) and if that is correct I don't see what rings would have to do with that. Mine carries 40lbs pressure nearly all the time but did smoke when starting up before it had a 100-150 miles on it then smoked no more. Pressure could only mean the pump or the bearings IMO. I think you need to have a long discussion with the rebuilder Jerry. You have great truck, I've seen it and nobody deserves the torture you've had. I'll be home around Christmas if you want to tear into it and want some help.
