Just what I was thinking after I posted that. A few scratches from the screw driver slipping and maybe leaving it out in the back yard for a couple of months to weather might not hurt our counterfiting job.
Right now I just wish I could FIND a set of plates, then I'd worry about refinishing them. Been looking for a year for Illinois 'B' plates for my 1950, 3604 and came close a few times but no cigar.
