I've got a little different problem. I'm still trying to figure out how to redo my '51 Illinois plates that were bare aluminum with painted numbers. How to clean some light corrosion and discoloration and lightly polish the aluminum without making it too shiny, in other words what a new piece of unpolished aluminum sheet would look like.
