did they change in 54' or are they the same as 47'-53'? unless your doing a "stock resto" having a tank built seems like a simple task. the money they want for a repro is *$&@#! my burb isn't stock now so using one from a later car/truck isn,t going to lower the "fun factor" of my burb.
