| | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | Alright I started dinking with the radio on my 53'. It has 2 wires coming out of the box. Im assuming both of these are powered? 1 for the lamp and 1 for the radio? Does the box itself act as the ground when bolted to the dash?
Before I rewired the truck it had a faint hum when turned on but not wanting to blow it up I didnt leave it on for long. Ive heard these may need warmup time before working. Id like to see if it actually works before disassembling it.
