If you cut the wood yourself it is not that expensive. I got dried red oak from a saw mill in Wisconson for $125,pine would have been under $70, it was plained and cut to size. I use A table saw to cut the strip gruves and router to cut out the bottom of boards to hide the mounting bolts. do it yourself save money and have a hard wood bed.
