Read your spark plugs. Remove 2 plugs & see if the porceline is black. With todays gas especially when it is old can carbon up plugs in a short time. Clean the plugs if nessary & try it again. I think you will have to go back in the carb. & see why it,s running rich. A vacuum gauge can be hooked to the outlet for the wipers. Don,t use the one to the dist. It usually is on ported vacuum.
