Too bad there isn't a just of what causes what, as I just came back from town with a coil, rotor, and another carb kit and ended up with a $70 bill. Usually when something is wrong you can point fingers at what is the culprit. Just like the troubleshooting section in the Haynes manual.

I want to make sure of how to check things. How do you check a coil? What does testing wires with an ohmmeter tell you? What determines if a cap is good?

Now that I got this carb kit, how do you know which check ball goes where? They maybe show a picture of them, but there's no reference to size?
