That '68 didn't come stock with a 305. Could it have been a 366 or 427? If so the existing raditor could be big enough.
Also, if anything was butchered to put the 305 in, you may have to correct some issues before putting a new motor in. Otherwise a big block was available in a '68 so stock mounts will be available if the existing ones aren't right.
