Well as for the fan, I don't think that going electric would really give you much of anything, and that area between the core support and grill is pretty much dead space anyway. I am unsure if the trans is a 420 or a 465, as I haven't got over to my dads to see where reverse is. As for the 292, my scout has a home made 2 to 3 inch body lift, so clearance is not an issue on mine, I can measure the difference of what it would be with out the lift, but I still don't think it would be an issue, other than the style air cleaner you use. If you use an aircleaner from a 50's Chevy Car that puts the element beside the carb vice on top there should be no problem at all. Let me know how else I can help.
