I seem to remember there was a good motor shop in Spokane (a little far, but transports run from Seattle daily) - it's name was something like "The Old Engine Shop"- sorry I can't remember the specific name. They do a lot of work on really old motors, including fabrication of parts that no longer exist. They have rebuilt steam motors, pump engines, etc. from the 1800's. They are very familiar with babbit engines and can repour babbit in rods. I realize your motor isn't quite that old, but the point is they can do a good job.
