#28259 02/08/2002 10:52 PM | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 17 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 17 | I can only think of 3 things that would make a tinkling sound in that area when the clutch is engaged.
1. The needles in the needle bearing fell out and are rattling around and about the flywheel.
2. The springs in the clutch plate are are a little loose and arerattling. (One could also be broken)
3. The throughout bearing is slightly touching the fingers on the presure plate and are tinging.
You shoud be able to see some of these by removing the flywheel cover and checking them out.
