I have one and I love it! This model has a non-synchro 1st gear, just use the 2nd or 3rd synchro to stop the transmission before putting into 1st. Never start out in overdrive! If you take one of these apart you'll see what I mean.
I have rebuilt mine and she's a daily driver now for 4 years. Once you get used to it you will love it too. Regards, Cosmo.
