Thanks, Hedgehog. I know repros are available from many of the standard vendors, and that will be the route I take if I can't find either NOS or excellent quality used.
I know that for brake parts, the Chinese repros need to meet DOT specifications, but I just don't think they will be as good of quality as the originals. I keep having this image of Chairman Mao's "Great Leap Forward" in the 50s and all of these folks in China building small steel smelters in their backyards.
