Not sure when they changed in the 60`s but the drums were changed to an inboard design which made the removal of the drum and hub as an assembly a requirement.
The earlier style had three screws which could be removed and the drum could be removed with the hub still left in place on the axle assembly.
There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
