GMC had rear leafs as standard. Coils were an option
Chevrolet had rear coils standard. Leafs were an option.
Old Sub's statement is correct. Either truck could have either suspension. Although leafs may have been a requirement for a Suburban no matter which brand.
So I guess the short answer to your question is, "Yes".
