Thanks for the answers. I guess that I should have been more clear (even though I ultimately got the answer that I was looking for), I mainly wanted to know front suspension and engine/transmission mounting similarities.
Leafs vs. coils for the rear is not a big issue although I think I like the coils better. Until last month, I used a 60 Chevy 3/4 ton as my personal workhorse. One of the trailing arms finally broke which just sped up its retirement. Otherwise the body would have fallen off soon. I also drive a 2001 Dodge 3/4 as my company vehicle. I carry about 800 lbs of equipment in this truck at all times. I felt that the Chevy was a more comfortable ride whether it was empty or loaded with almost 1.5 tons of scrap. Anything over 1 ton in the Chevy did cause the steering to feel light, but that should be expected.
