For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,132 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,132 | Been trying to work on the sub at least a couple of hours every day. So far so good. I now have the 84 GMC rear end installed permanently with new axle and pinion shaft seals and new drum brakes. I removed the front coils from the 84 GMC IFS and blocked them at ride height with 2 by 6s. I now have the lower control arms level. Next project is the steering box and linkage followed by shocks and the original front sway bar. The IFS has been narrowed 1 5/8. Do I have to narrow the steering linkage by the same amount or is there enough adjustment to bolt up? Need advice. Has anyone been through this with the Andereggen/Joyce late model IFS swap? Thanks to anyone who can help. I have come this far with help from all you guys and I am really happy with the results so far. Thanks everybody! | | |
