I wouldn't have a single clue what a Mahindra could be if I hadn't researched that Jeep before buying it. This one is actually an '87 Mitsubishi.

It has a 2.7l turbo diesel which I like a bunch. Lots of poop - around 100 hp, as compared to my Chevy's 90 - and gets 30-40 mpg, depending on how I drive it. It has a 75 mph top speed (pretty twitchy up there) cruises nicely at 60 mph, but goes further on fuel if it is allowed to stay around 50 or less. I've sourced an overdrive, but it will be a bit spendy, so I'll wait to see if this Jeep survives its first few years of service to me. It probably will: it seems plenty strong, and only had around 35,000 miles when I bought it.
