TWO TONS of payload on there. 5,650# on the drive axle. Not exactly what you'd call compliant, y'know. I drove around a while to see how she'd handle it: No problem. The steering axle didn't even float. I found a 15% grade, and pulled up it at the top of second gear. I could have shifted up if the gears weren't so long. No rise in engine coolant temperature, no stink, nothing. Effortless, apparently. So then I went to a buddy's house and got legal, comparatively speaking. Look at his lawn ornament:

I think it's, like, a '69 or somewhere 'round there. nice unit, no problems, but he doesn't want to work it at local cut rates, so it's getting a drom deck, and it's going to be a patio. Cool or what?
