The threads that I was reading were on higher-end cams -- in Cadillac engines. I realize that they are apples and oranges, but personally, I'd rather buy oil that has the "old" amount of ZDDP (zinc and phosphorus) to MAKE SURE that I don't have to take the 216 apart to put a new cam in it because it wore down prematurely from something that was preventable.
It's cheap insurance -- which is the deal as I see it -- and if you like, we can agree to disagree.
